Erwin Olaf- NewYorker- Nokia- People of theLaberinth

Thanks to Luis’ commentary in the post on Nokia de Second Nature ad that I made some days ago, I have found out that the person responsible of the photography of the ad is the Dutch photographer Edwin Olaf.  He studied journalism and specialized himself in photojournalism with Robert Mapplethorpe.

Erwin Olaf - Got2B and Diesel

His work as an artist in the  “hope” and “hope portraits” series shows a photography with dyes of  the 50s look in The United States, where human beings look at each other, but they do not touch. Only the breathing of the figures is heard in environments loaded with tension and eroticism in which we don’t know what kind of relationship is there between them.

About his advertising campaigns, Erwin, has worked for so important and unlike companies as: Got2BNokia, Tampax, Nicorette, Campbell, Diesel, BMW, Walker, Heineken, Microsoft,…

Erwin Olaf Kohle and Moooi
